To become an accredited NDIS provider, you must undergo a certification audit facilitated by an Approved Quality Auditor (AQA) like HDAA. The certification audit unfolds in two phases:
The NDIS Certification Package comprises comprehensive policies, procedures, forms, registers, and evidence essential for a successful certification audit. Designed for service providers offering medium-to-high complexity supports, this package ensures compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators for the Certification Module.
A comprehensive examination of your essential policies and procedures to pinpoint any gaps before your on-site audit.
An AQA visits your site to interview staff, observe practices and verify your compliance with NDIS Standards.
Apply or renew on the NDIS Commission site to obtain your Initial Scope of Audit.
Send your ISoA to AQAs like HDAA for detailed proposals and pricing.
Provide your policies, procedures and registers for an initial gap analysis.
Book your on-site audit within three months of Stage 1 for a seamless process.
Discuss any gaps with your AQA and submit a corrective action plan.
Provide further evidence to demonstrate compliance fixes.
Your auditor submits the completed report to the NDIS Commission.
